Woodtype Shields Resource Pack (1.21.10, 1.20.1) allows you to equip shields made from any wood type simply by renaming the shield in an anvil. The default “Oak Shield” is replaced visually, and when you rename a shield to “Birch Shield,” “Jungle Shield,” “Cherry Shield,” or any of the other supported wood types, the texture automatically updates to match that wood’s style. It also includes quality-of-life tweaks: the shield position is lowered in first-person view for better visibility, and no additional mods such as OptiFine or CIT Resewn are required when using Minecraft 1.21.5 or above. All in all, it’s an excellent pick for players or builders who value visual variety in their gear but don’t want to depart from Minecraft’s core style.
