Simple Sponge Mod brings the useful liquid-absorbing sponges from OpenBlocks into your game, and adds even more new types. This mod started as a port but now includes many unique sponges and tools for managing water and lava. You can even use it together with the original OpenBlocks mod without any problems.

Features:

  • Adds three different sponge blocks: Regular, Magmatic, and Creative.
  • Includes seven types of “Sponge on a Stick” tools for more precise liquid removal.
  • The Regular Sponge breaks when it absorbs hot fluids like lava.
  • Magmatic, Creative, and Energized sponges can safely soak up hot liquids without being destroyed.
  • Works with the OpenBlocks mod, automatically disabling its own sponges to prevent recipe conflicts if both are installed.

Configuration:

  • You can change the absorption radius for all sponges, up to a maximum of 64 blocks.
  • The energy capacity and usage for the Energized Sponge on a Stick can be adjusted in the config file.
  • Integration with the OpenBlocks mod can be enabled or disabled.
