Babric Loader (1.7.3) is a fork of the Fabric mod loader for Minecraft Beta versions (very old, from around 2010–2011). It allows players to install modern mods (written with the Fabric API/loader) but run them on Minecraft Beta, which previously only supported the old ModLoader or Forge Retro.

Installation Guide:

Preparation

  • Install a Minecraft launcher (official, MultiMC, or Prism Launcher is recommended).
  • Download:
    • Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 (available in the launcher under “historical versions”).
    • Babric Installer (Download below).
    • (Optional) Fabric API for Babric, if required by mods.

Install Babric

  • Open the launcher and create a new profile with version Beta 1.7.3.
  • Close the launcher.
  • Run the Babric Installer, select Beta 1.7.3 and your Minecraft directory.
  • After installation, the launcher will show a new profile like “Babric Beta 1.7.3”.

Add Mods

  • Go to your Minecraft folder:
    • Windows: Press Win + R → type %appdata%/.minecraft
  • Find the mods folder (create it if missing).
  • Download mods for Babric (Beta 1.7.3) and copy the .jar files into the mods folder.

Run the Game

  • Open the launcher.
  • Select the profile “Babric Beta 1.7.3”.
  • Click Play.
  • If installed correctly, the mods will load with the game.
