Better Melon Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Eat Melons Slice By Slice and Carve Glowing

Better Melon Mod expands melon mechanics with new fruit variants, direct block eating, and decorative building options. It gives a big upgrade to vanilla farming by letting you eat placed melon blocks slice by slice. You can cut fresh variants, wear melon rinds as helmets, brew melon beverages with special status buffs, and carve decorative lanterns for your base.

Features:

• Right-click placed melon blocks or melon stairs and slabs to eat them one quarter at a time.
• Eat cut melon blocks directly from your hand at twice the speed of standard food items.
• Wax melon building blocks with honeycomb to stop players from accidentally eating your build.
• Carve melons with shears to craft glowing lanterns using torches, glowstone, or redstone bulbs.
• Craft wearable melon rinds and carved melon helmets that offer light head protection.
• Brew distinct melon drinks that grant positive potion buffs, suspicious stew effects, or ender resonance.
• Bake placeable pizzas using pumpkin bases, melon slices, milk, and eggs.

Melon Types:

• Yellow Melon: a golden fruit variant with unique decorative blocks.
• Unripe Melon: obtained using a special knife, with a small chance to cause hunger when consumed.
• Glistering Melon: restores health and can be eaten even when your hunger bar is full.
• Enchanted Melon: heals you and grants a random positive status effect upon consumption.
• Ender Melon: provides teleportation power, projectile immunity, and levitation immunity while making water harmful.

Special Tools:

• Huaqiang Melon Knife: cuts melon blocks quickly and has a chance to cause bleeding on hit entities.
• Unguaranteed Ripe Enchantment: guarantees unripe melon drops when cutting standard melon blocks.

How to Use:

1. Place any melon block or melon slab on the ground.
2. Right-click the block with an empty hand to take a bite and restore hunger.
3. Use shears on a placed melon block to create a carved melon.
4. Hold a torch, glowstone, or lantern and right-click the carved melon to turn it into a light source.
5. Use shears on a hollow melon half to obtain a wearable rind helmet.
