Burnt Basic Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) is a lightweight version of the Burnt mod. It focuses only on fire behavior in Minecraft: no mobs, no biomes, no lore – just fire lighting, spreading, and burning mechanics.

This mod enhances vanilla fire to behave more realistically. Once ignited, blocks will actually burn instead of instantly disappearing. Wooden structures and trees are left behind as burnt, twisted remains that can still be used as resources.

Fire spreads naturally across wood, leaves, and grass, creating large-scale destruction and dramatic visuals. It finally gives a meaningful use to tools like Flint and Steel.

How to Use:

  • Ignite fires using Flint and Steel on:
    • Wood blocks
    • Leaves
  • Shoot a Flint Bow arrow at wood or leaves to start fires
  • Rain will stop fire from spreading
  • Water instantly extinguishes burning blocks
  • Smokers can convert any wood into burnt wood types

Important Notes

  • Back up your world before using this mod
  • Fire can destroy large areas very quickly
  • High-performance systems can handle extreme scenarios (for example, burning a large mansion)
  • Best visual experience when used with shaders
  • This mod is designed as a sandbox-style toy – experiment and have fun
