Getting Started:

Follow these basic steps when starting the modpack for the first time.

  • Choose a Starter Pokémon
    • Select your first Pokémon carefully when prompted.
  • Explore the World
    • Discover biomes, locate villages, and begin building your base.
  • Train and Catch
    • Use Poké Balls to capture wild Pokémon and grow your team.
  • Follow Quests
    • Questlines guide your progression and unlock important systems.

Pokémon Spawns & Exploration

  • Biome-Based Spawns
    • Forests → Grass, Bug
    • Oceans & Beaches → Water, Electric (storms)
    • Deserts → Fire, Ground
    • Mountains & Caves → Rock, Steel, Dragon
    • Swamps → Poison
    • Nether & End → Ultra-rare and special forms
  • Spawn Conditions
    • Some Pokémon only appear at night, in certain weather, or in specific dimensions.
    • Legendary and Mythical Pokémon may require items or triggers.
  • In-Game Tool
    • Use /checkspawns to see possible Pokémon in your current biome.
  • Discord Spawn Finder
    • Use commands such as:
      • /where <pokemon> (English)
      • /tesou <pokemon> (French)
      • /wobistdu <pokemon> (German)

Level Cap & Trainer Progression

  • Level Cap System
    • Initial cap: Level 25
    • Pokémon above the cap cannot gain XP
    • Trainers refuse battles if your team exceeds the cap
  • Raising the Cap
    • Defeat Key Trainers in the correct order
    • Use your Trainer Card for hints and tracking
    • Check the Advancements tab for milestones
  • Trainer Series
    • Multiple themed series with gyms, villains, leagues, and champions
    • Some series require completion of earlier ones
  • Unlocking Major Trainers

Wild Boost Mechanics

Pokémon Workers (CobbleWorkers)

  • Purpose
    • Pokémon can perform farming, mining, generating, and support tasks
  • Basic Use
    • Place Pokémon in the world as workers
    • Each species has specific job roles
    • Radius and behavior are configurable
  • Main Roles
    • Farming and harvesting
    • Mining and resource generation
    • Fuel, water, lava, and snow generation
    • Healing and utility support

Riding System

  • Official Cobblemon Riding
    • No saddle required
    • Right-click while sneaking to mount
    • Camera settings are saved automatically
  • Infinite Stamina
    • No stamina drain
    • Unlimited long-distance travel
  • Settings
    • Edit config/cobblemon/main.json for camera and motion options
    • Set "disableRoll": true to reduce motion sickness

Shoulder Pokémon Effects

  • Pokémon placed on your shoulder grant continuous effects
  • Multiple effects can stack
  • Effects stop when the Pokémon is removed
  • Some effects are limited for balance

Fossil System

  • Purpose
    • Resurrect ancient Pokémon from fossils
  • How to Use
    • Find a fossil
    • Extract it if needed
    • Insert into a Resurrection Machine
    • Power the machine with food
    • Collect the revived Pokémon
