Tough As Nails Mod makes survival in Minecraft much harder by adding realistic challenges. You now have to manage your thirst and body temperature to stay alive. This mod also introduces a seasons system that changes the world around you, like making grass colors different or causing snow to fall in new areas.

Features:

  • Thirst System: Adds a new thirst bar that you must manage by drinking water. If it gets too low, you will suffer negative effects.
  • Body Temperature: Your character’s temperature will change based on the biome and what you are doing. Getting too hot or too cold can be dangerous.
  • Seasons: The world now cycles through seasons, changing foliage colors and weather patterns.
  • Lowered Starting Health: You start the game with less health, making the beginning more difficult.

New Blocks

  • Build a Campfire to keep warm.
  • Craft a Rain Collector to gather drinking water.
  • Use Heating and Cooling Coils to regulate temperature in your base.
  • The Season Sensor block can detect the current season.

New Items

  • Carry water on the go with a Canteen.
  • Check your temperature with a Thermometer.
  • Purify water with a Charcoal Filter.
  • Craft various items like Ice Cubes, Freeze Rods, and Jelled Slime.
  • Create different juices and potions to help you survive.

New Armor

  • Wear a full set of Wool Armor to protect yourself from the cold.
  • Craft Jelled Slime Armor for special protection.

New Mob

  • Beware of the Freeze, a hostile mob that spawns in cold areas.

Status Effects

  • Avoid getting Hypothermia (too cold) or Hyperthermia (too hot).
  • Gain Cold or Heat Resistance to survive in extreme temperatures.
