No Random Ticks Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) – Run Huge Worlds Without Any Lag
No Random Ticks Mod stops many blocks in Minecraft from doing extra work in the background. In the game, a lot of blocks constantly check for updates, which is called a ‘random tick’. When you have a huge world or a busy server, all these tiny checks can add up and slow things down. This mod turns off these random ticks for about half of the blocks in the game. This helps improve performance, especially for servers, without breaking major game mechanics.

Features:
- Helps your server run faster by stopping many blocks from doing “random ticks”.
- This mod prevents about 50% of all blocks from performing these checks, reducing server stress.
- Can stop certain game mechanics from running, like copper changing color or bamboo growing.
- You can also stop blocks and fluids from doing their regular ticks, but this can break their normal functions.
- Includes a debug mode to show you exactly which blocks are being affected.
- Lets you use Regex patterns to create advanced, custom lists of blocks to stop.
Configuration:
This mod’s features are controlled through its configuration files. You can create blacklists for blocks and fluids to stop them from ticking. The mod also supports Regex for more advanced filtering.
If you make a mistake in your Regex pattern, the mod will provide a helpful error message in the log, like this:
[02:12:20] [modloading-worker-0/WARN] [NoRandomticksMod/]: Rejected invalid regex pattern '^[minecraft:.*': Unclosed character class near index 13
^[minecraft:.*
