From The Caves Mod (1.20.1) – Uniquely Horrifying

From The Caves Mod (1.20.1) adds a mysterious stalking entity to Minecraft that can follow you both underground and on the surface. This mob interacts with blocks, mobs, and the environment, creating unpredictable situations and scares.

Warning: This mod contains flashing light effects. Individuals with photosensitive epilepsy may experience discomfort or seizures. You can disable these effects anytime with the command:

/fromthecaves photosensitiveMode

Features:

• The entity has multiple phases that change its behavior:
  • Phase 1: The entity is mostly harmless. It can:
    • Appear in front or behind you
    • Watch you from a distance
    • Dig near you or modify blocks
  • Phase 2: Becomes more hostile. It can:
    • Fly around
    • Wake you at night
    • Break torches or place obstacles
    • Leave signs with creepy messages
  • Phase 3 & 4:
    • The entity has deep lore revealed through structures in caves and the surface.
    • Advancing its phases requires player actions, such as freeing or provoking it.
    • New blocks and items are added to support the entity’s mechanics.

Commands:

• /fromthecaves setphase [1-3] – Set the current phase manually
• /fromthecaves phase – Check the current phase
• /fromthecaves warnphase [true/false] – Enable or disable phase warnings
• /fromthecaves photosensitiveMode – Toggle flashing light effects
