Career Bees Mod (1.12.2) – Give Your Bees Productive Jobs

Career Bees Mod is an addon for Forestry that adds many new types of bees, each based on a real-world job. These special bees can help you with tasks like mining, crafting, and farming. To get started, you need to breed a Common bee and a Cultivated bee near a bookshelf to create the first career bee.

Features:

This mod introduces a huge variety of bees that can automate different tasks for you. By breeding new species, you can create a workforce of bees to handle almost anything.

Resource Gathering Bees

• Miner Bees: Dig up ores in their territory. You can even breed special versions for Silk Touch or Fortune III.
• Lumber Bees: Bite bark off trees. These pieces of bark can be crafted back into full logs.
• Butcher Bees: Slaughters grown animals in its area but always keeps one pair alive to continue breeding.
• Collecting Bees: Pick up any items dropped on the ground within their territory.

Processing & Crafting Bees

• Smelter Bees: Smelt items you place on a nearby flower pedestal, acting like a tiny furnace.
• Repair Bees: Fix the durability of damaged tools, weapons, and armor placed on pedestals.
• Armorer & Sharpening Bees: Buff armor or sharpen weapons placed on pedestals.
• Ore Crusher Bees: Grind metal ores into dust, giving you two or three times the resources.
• Mason Bees: Automatically chisel nearby cobblestone blocks into stone bricks.

Utility & Automation Bees

• Husbandry Bees: Encourage animals within their territory to breed with each other.
• Yente Bees: Automate your apiaries by choosing the best drone for your princess bee.
• Doctor Bees: Heal any nearby player or mob and give them a regeneration effect.
• Police Bees: Attack hostile mobs and pick up their drops when they are defeated.
• Energy Bees: Create RF power for blocks placed next to their housing.

How to Use:

1. To get your first career bee, breed a Common bee with a Cultivated bee.
2. You must place a bookshelf near the apiary to act as a foundation. This will allow the Student Bee to be created.
3. Once you have a Student Bee, you can breed it with other bees to discover new mutations and professions.
4. For many bees, you can place items on a flower pedestal nearby. The bee will then perform its job on that item, such as smelting ore or repairing a tool.
5. To automate breeding, shift-right-click a Yente princess bee onto an apiary. It will then automatically manage the breeding process for you.
