In Minecraft, the Jagged Peaks (also referred to as Lofty Peaks) is a biome in the Overworld that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II. It is known for its towering snow-covered mountains made out of stone. You can also find lots of goats wandering around the flat areas and climbing up the peaks of these frozen mountains.

Let’s explore the characteristics of the Jagged Peaks biome.


The weather in the Jagged Peaks biome has average precipitation (but instead of rain drops, this biome has snow flakes).


There are no trees in the Jagged Peaks biome.


There is no vegetation in the Jagged Peaks biome.
