Minecraft 1.21.11 Snapshot 25w42a brings the following changes for you to explore: the Lunge and Mending enchantments are now compatible, the underwater fog effect has been smoothed, the “Oh Shiny” advancement now includes the Golden Spear and Golden Nautilus Armor, Zombie Horses can now be leashed, and Nautilus & Zombie Nautilus can be controlled on land.

  • Underwater biome fog color and distance are now blended smoothly between biomes based on player position.

Server Management Protocol v1.1.0:

  • Enables authentication from web browsers via WebSocket.
  • Use Sec-WebSocket-Protocol header with token, e.g.

  • Authentication requests are subject to Origin header checks, configurable via management-server-allowed-origins. Default: empty (disabled).

Data Pack v90.0 Notes:

  • Introduces Environment Attributes — a data-driven system to control visual and gameplay effects.
  • Examples: minecraft:visual/sky_color (sky color), minecraft:gameplay/water_evaporates (water evaporation).

Command Updates:

  • Resource suggestions now return results in any namespace, not just minecraft.
  • /stopwatch command changes:
    • Order of id argument switched: use /stopwatch create foo:bar instead of /stopwatch foo:bar create.
    • query subcommand adds scale argument to return scaled values. Example: /stopwatch query foo:bar 20.

Environment Attributes Details:
