Minecraft PTGI Shaders (1.21.8, 1.20.1) – Path Traced Global Illumination

Minecraft PTGI Shaders (1.21.8, 1.20.1) uses Iris, integrating Path Traced Global Illumination (PTGI) and Spatiotemporal Variance Guided Filtering (SVGF) for noise reduction and image reconstruction, delivering realistic lighting effects.
Features:
- Path traced global illumination (PTGI)
- Spatiotemporal variance guided filtering (SVGF)
- Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA)
- Temporal reprojection & motion buffers
- Upscaling
- Motion blur
- Sky
- Volumetric clouds
- Day/night cycle
- Bloom
- Weather and raining
- Animated vegetation
- Color grading
- Tonemapping
- Gamma correction
How it works:
- Path Tracing: Computes lighting by tracing rays through the scene, using voxelization (converting the 3D world into a 2D texture) via the shadow pass to store block data.
- SVGF: Filters noise in the global illumination buffer (excluding textures) to produce a smooth image.
- TAA: Eliminates aliasing artifacts at the final stage of the pipeline.
