Pet Essence Mod (1.20.1, 1.20) – Save Your Pets From Permanent Death

Pet Essence Mod designed to prevent the permanent loss of tamed pets by allowing players to resurrect them. The mod supports named and tamed cats, dogs, parrots, and horses, offering a heartfelt solution for players who want to bring their deceased pets back to life. With features like allied spirits and unique items, it enhances pet-related gameplay while maintaining simplicity and immersion.

Features:

• When a named, tamed pet (cats, dogs, parrots, or horses) is killed by external sources (not the owner), it drops a spirit. Players can craft a Totem of Persistence using a netherite upgrade smithing template, a netherite ingot, and a totem of undying in a smithing table. Combining the Totem of Persistence with another smithing template and the pet’s spirit creates a Persistent Spirit, which, when used on the ground, resurrects the pet.
• Introduced allied spirits that don’t take damage from their owner, an Apple of Alliance (a utility-focused version of God Apples that can convert pets into allied pets when sneak-right-clicked), and a Takeover Totem to change a pet’s owner.
