SCP-4230 The Snowman Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds an SCP-inspired anomaly that appears in cold biomes at night and spreads a dangerous freezing effect. It creates chain reactions that can produce hostile mini-snowmen if victims are not rescued in time.

Features:

  • New anomaly entity: SCP-4230 (The Snowman)
  • Immobile snowman made of snow, dirt, and leaves
  • Does not move and does not melt
  • Only one instance can exist at a time

Spawning

  • Spawns on the Overworld surface
  • Biome type:
    • Snowy and cold biomes
  • Appears during night

Primary Effect

  • Applies SCP-4230-1 to nearby players and villagers
  • Effect radius: about 12 blocks
  • Effect increases in stages:
    • Early stage: minor impact
    • Later stages: strong slowness and weakness
    • Final stage: heavy freezing damage over time

After Infection

  • If a victim dies while affected:
    • A frozen body entity SCP-4230-A appears
    • This body remains still
    • If an uninfected player comes within 10 blocks, it reacts

Mini-Snowman Instances

  • SCP-4230-B can spawn from SCP-4230-A
  • Small, fast, and highly aggressive
  • Attacks nearby players, animals, and villagers
  • Movement features:
    • Quick leaps toward targets
    • Short burst speed
  • Special traits:
    • Immune to projectile damage
    • Does not melt
    • Exists for about 1 minute before disappearing

  • SCP-4230-B – Small aggressive snowman spawned from SCP-4230-A

SCP-4230 (Main Snowman)

  • Immobile anomaly entity
  • Spawns in snowy biomes at night
  • Does not move and does not melt
  • Faces the nearest player
  • Applies status effect SCP-4230-1 to nearby players and villagers
  • Effect radius: about 12 blocks

SCP-4230-1 Effect Stages

  • Stage 0:
    • No noticeable impact
  • Stage 1:
    • Minor periodic damage chance
    • Slowness
    • Weakness
    • Mining fatigue
  • Stage 2:
    • Higher damage chance
    • Stronger slowness
    • Freezing effect
    • Weakness and mining fatigue
  • If the victim dies while affected:
    • Transforms into SCP-4230-A

SCP-4230-A (Frozen Body)

  • Created when a player or villager dies under SCP-4230-1
  • Remains stationary
  • Does not attack or move
  • Acts as a trigger entity
  • If a non-infected player comes within 10 blocks:
    • Spawns SCP-4230-B instances

SCP-4230-B (Mini Snowman)

  • Small, fast hostile snowman
  • Spawned from SCP-4230-A
  • Aggressive toward:
    • Players
    • Animals
    • Villagers
  • Combat traits:
    • Quick leap movement
    • High chase speed
    • Immune to projectile damage
  • Special limits:
    • Does not melt
    • Exists for about 60 seconds
    • Disappears automatically after its lifetime
