The Last Voyage of the Harpy Express Modpack (1.21.1) is a social deduction murder-mystery game played on a moving train in Minecraft. Players are secretly assigned roles and must survive, investigate, or eliminate others before the train ride ends.

Features:

Game Requirements

  • At least 6 players (recommended: 12–14 players)
  • A server running the Harpy Express modpack and map
  • Server settings:
    • Difficulty: Peaceful
    • Gamemode: Adventure
    • PvP enabled
    • Command blocks enabled

Starting the Game

  • All players spawn in the lobby.
  • Players who want to participate must board the train.
  • Players who want to watch can remain in the lobby and not board the train.
  • Once 6 or more players have boarded:
    • Go to the front of the train.
    • Ring the train horn to start the game.

Player Roles

  • Civilian
    • Your goal is to survive until the train ride ends.
    • You cannot attack other players.
    • You must complete tasks to maintain your mental stability.
  • Vigilante
    • Similar to a Civilian but you have a gun.
    • Your goal is to eliminate the killers.
    • If you kill an innocent player:
      • The gun drops.
      • Another player may pick it up.
  • Killer
    • Your goal is to eliminate all civilians before time runs out.
    • You work secretly with another killer (depending on player count).
    • Each kill:
      • Grants 100 money
      • Adds +1 minute to the timer
    • Money can be used to buy tools and abilities that help you eliminate players.

Sanity System

  • Players must complete tasks to maintain their sanity meter.
  • If sanity drops too low:
    • You may begin hallucinating items.
    • You may stop seeing bodies.
  • This makes identifying killers more difficult.

Commands:

  • Type /tm to see all available commands.
  • Some commands are available to everyone.
  • Some commands are supporter-only and experimental.
  • Supporter commands only require one OP player with access to activate them.

Example Command

  • /tm odsa <seconds>
    • Automatically starts a game after enough players board the train.
    • Accepts values between 0 and 60 seconds.
    • Useful for public servers where an OP might not always be present.

Gameplay Summary

  • Players explore different train cars while completing tasks.
  • Killers secretly eliminate passengers.
  • Vigilantes try to identify and stop the killers.
  • Civilians must survive and avoid suspicion.
  • The round ends when:
    • All killers are eliminated, or
    • Killers eliminate all civilians, or
    • The train ride timer expires.

Tip: Communication, observation, and deception are key. Pay attention to player behavior, strange movements, and suspicious actions while completing your tasks.
