How To Start

  • Search loot chests for Fossil Site Maps and Machine Parts
  • Common locations:
    • Mineshafts
    • Jungle temples
    • Desert temples
    • Dungeons
  • Follow the map to a hidden fossil structure underground
  • Carefully dig and brush suspicious blocks to extract fossils

Fossil Structure Types

  • Underground fossil skeleton sites
  • Petrified tree sites (plant fossils)
  • Tar pits (easier to find, large surface deposits)

Reviving Creatures and Plants

  • Craft a Transmogrifier machine
  • Required items:
    • Fossils
    • Machine parts (from chests)
    • Organic Ooze as fuel
  • Insert fossil + fuel → receive:
    • Creature egg or Plant shoot

Hatching Rules

  • Land creatures: place eggs on solid ground
  • Aquatic creatures: place eggs underwater
  • Birds: hatch after a short waiting time
  • Some small creatures can be spawned by throwing eggs
  • Some species can be transported using:
    • Water buckets
    • Glass jars

Creature Behavior Basics

  • Types include passive, neutral, and hostile
  • Many aquatic creatures can be carried in buckets
  • Some creatures change behavior based on biome temperature
  • Certain hostile creatures can be temporarily calmed with Enchanted Golden Apple
