Still Hungry Mod 1.7.10 made by 17CupsOfCoffee, DizzyAlyx and bethw08
The Still Hungry mod adds lots more food into your game, roughly around 50 items, which is more food than there actually is in Minecraft currently. This took a while to make but we finally buckled down and got on with it.
In version 2 we added barrels, which allow you to make wine and cider! These are great for the early game when you don’t have the resources (or the courage) to venture into the nether for potion materials. You create a barrel like so:
and some bottles to fill like this:
The barrel doesn’t work like anything you have seen in vanilla minecraft, so we’ll explain how it works.
You first place a bucket of water into the top slot – you will then see the barrel fill up in the background. Then, in any order you choose, place 1 sugar and 4 fruit (grapes or apples) into the top slot – you will see the fermenting process take place! Once the liquid has reached full colour and is fizzing, place one bottle (Stacking them won’t work! This is a technical limitation that will be fixed in later versions) under the tap slot, and the booze will drain into the bottle!Alcohol will give you strength and regen for around a minute and a half as long as you keep chugging them – be warned though, if you let the timer get too low the hangover will set in, and that is no fun
Tired of having to carry all your precious homecooked food around? We can help with that
This will give you a 6 slot portable inventory to use for your cooking – perfect to take down the mines with you.
Strawberry: Strawberries work in exactly the same way as wheat, going through 8 stages of growth when planted near water, when harvested, they will drop strawberries and possibly some seeds. They will spawn at random in patches in the world where there is grass.
Rice: Again, works in exactly the same way. Simple right?
You can also now obtain seeds for these plants by placing one of their dropped crops in the crafting grid:
The lunchbox is functional again after being broken in 2.1.0. The functionality of it has also changed; each lunchbox now has an individual inventory instead of there being one per player. Fixes Issue #8.
Sprites and textures were updated to add more color and contrast, as well as fixing some consistency issues.
The cheese recipe was changed to fix the issue with buckets duplicating in the furnace. You now receive a bucket of cheese when you cook milk, which can then be crafted into a block of cheese – this will return the bucket as normal. Fixes Issue #7.
The mod now has a creative mode tab especially for its items. Also if you start a new world, you should notice the items are in a bit of a more sensible order in creative. Fixes Issue #9.
The barrel can now be crafted from any wood type, including wood from other mods and the newer types of wood added in recent Minecraft updates. Fixes Issue #13.
Shift clicking functionality was added to the stove and lunchbox. This will be added to the barrel in a later update. Fixes Issue #5.
A bug with the barrel not draining water from water buckets was fixed. Fixes Issue #16.
v2.1.0
General Nice Things:
Lots of code restructuring! 1.7 makes everything so much nicer to work with….
No more ID conflicts! Again, due to 1.7 changes, it should now be VERY rare that our mod will be incompatible with others!
The items are actually in some kind of logical order in the creative mode screen now.
Plant Changes:
Grapes can now be harvested by right clicking. This is to make our mod more consistent with other plant mods (Natura especially). SIDE NOTE: This functionality will be added to the strawberries in a later update.
Bonemeal nerfed to be more in line with the amount you use in vanilla. One bonemeal will now increase plant growth by one stage.
Recipe Changes:
French Toast is now made using bread and eggs rather than bread and butter, because that actually makes sense.
Bug Fixes:
Eating Mac and Cheese or Fruit Salad now gives you your bowl back. No more splinters in your mouth!
Killing a sheep with a Fire Aspect enchant now gives cooked meat, as with the vanilla animals.
Buckets being returned after making cheese is now more reliable (if you have no inventory space it’ll just pop onto the floor).
