Primitive Tech Mod adds straightforward industrial machinery, oil refining, military gear, vehicles, and recruitable armies. The mod lets you expand resource production quickly with vanilla redstone mechanics instead of bloated tech trees. You can drill for crude oil, refine fuel, craft deadly firearms, and deploy squads of soldiers to battle enemy pillager outposts.

Primitive Tech Mod

Features:

  • Oil Extraction System: Build functional pumpjacks over oil deposits to collect crude oil and useful secondary loot.
  • Automated War Vehicles: Drive tanks, armored cars, steel boats, trucks, and zeppelins powered by processed fuel.
  • Recruitable Armies: Craft uniforms and equipment to spawn villager infantry, machine gunners, and heavy troops that fight alongside you.
  • Adds realistic firearms including pistols, double barrel shotguns, rifles, and mounted machine guns.
  • Brings heavy artillery that shatters enemy lines, slows targets with concussion effects, and clears forest foliage.
  • Pillager factions spawn armed soldiers, prisoners, defenders, and raiders ready to exchange gunfire.
  • Includes deepslate oil deposits and oily sludge blocks that react violently to fire and explosions.
  • Smelt crude oil buckets in standard furnaces or blast furnaces to produce usable vehicle fuel.
  • Provides steel building materials, grates, scaffolding, hatches, and reinforced storage crates.
  • Unlocks crafting recipes naturally as you collect basic raw materials like iron, coal, and leather.
  • Fallen friendly soldiers drop salvageable equipment for a brief period after defeat.

Oil Drilling and Refining:

  • Oil deposits generate underground and contain volatile sludge that easily catches fire.
  • Pump structures require extraction pipes, an Oil Well block, and vertical extraction cables.
  • Pumps produce one load of crude oil roughly every 20 seconds when powered by constant redstone.
  • Different biomes yield bonus items and unique scrap while extracting deep oil veins.

Military Units and Vehicles:

  • Villager Infantryman: standard rifle unit capable of engaging distant targets.
  • Villager Machine Gunner: provides continuous suppressive fire against oncoming swarms.
  • Pillager Soldier: hostile combatant that prioritizes attacking player-allied units first.
  • Armored Transporter and Tank: heavily protected ground units capable of carrying personnel across rugged terrain.
  • Steel Boat and Landing Barge: armored watercraft built to secure waterways and river systems.

How to Use:

  1. Locate an underground oil vein and clear a safe area around the volatile sludge blocks.
  2. Place at least 3 Oil Extraction Pipes directly connected to the deposit.
  3. Place an Oil Well block on top of the pipe line.
  4. Stack 5, 10, or 15 Oil Extraction Cables vertically on top of the Oil Well block.
  5. Cap the top cable with an Oil Pump block and activate it with a constant redstone signal.
  6. Collect oil buckets from the pump and smelt them in a furnace to make vehicle fuel.
  7. Craft soldier uniforms, assign weapons, and use the unit spawner item to deploy your squad.
