Ore Tweaker Mod (1.18.2, 1.17.1) – Create Your Own Ore Distribution

Ore Tweaker Mod gives you full control over how ores generate in your Minecraft world. You can disable vanilla ores completely, change the rules for how they spawn, or even add your own custom ore generation. This makes it a useful tool for anyone creating custom maps or modpacks.

Features:

• Turn off the default generation for any vanilla ore.
• Stop underground pockets of dirt, gravel, andesite, granite, and diorite from spawning.
• Create your own custom rules for how ores should generate using JSON files.
• Set the minimum and maximum height (Y-level) for an ore to appear.
• Control the smallest and largest possible size for ore veins.
• Adjust the spawn rate to make ores more common or rarer in each chunk.
• Use a biome blacklist to prevent ores from generating in specific biomes.
• Use a biome whitelist to allow ores to generate only in specific biomes.

Configuration:

This mod is configured using JSON files. Here are the settings you can change for each ore:

• Ore: The block you want to generate, like “minecraft:diamond_ore”.
• Filler: The block that gets replaced by the ore, usually “minecraft:stone”.
• MinY: The lowest Y-level where the ore can spawn.
• MaxY: The highest Y-level where the ore can spawn.
• MaxVeinSize: The biggest possible size for an ore vein.
• SpawnRate: How many times the game tries to spawn the ore in each chunk.
• BiomeBlacklist: A list of biomes where the ore cannot spawn.
• BiomeWhitelist: A list of biomes where the ore is allowed to spawn.

How to Use:

Disable Ores:

1. Find the ore you want to disable [Example: Diamond].
2. Set “Disable Diamond Ore” = true.
3. Save config.

Custom Ore Generation:

1. You MUST disable the vanilla ore generation before you can add an custom ore generation.
2. Find the ore you wanna add a custom world  generation to after you have disabled the vanilla ore generation for that ore [Example: Diamond].
3. Set “Custom OreGen: Diamond Ore”=true.
4. Add a vein spawn rate.
5. Add a maximum vein size.
6. Add a minimum vein Size.
7. Add a maximum spawn level (Y-Level / Height).
8. Add a minimum spawn level (Y-Level / Height).
9. Save config.
