AethraSea Server Software lets you run many Bukkit, Spigot and Paper plugins on Folia’s region-threaded server. It adds a hybrid engine that loads older plugins, so you get multi-threading without giving up the plugins you use. This server software is a fork of Folia and is made for server owners who still depend on older plugins.

AethraSea Server Software

Features:

  • Hybrid Engine: Loads Bukkit, Spigot and Paper plugins on top of Folia’s region threading.
  • Parallel Chunks: Runs chunk loading and generation in parallel, and you can set the worker and I/O thread counts.
  • Mob Pathfinding Pool: Moves mob pathfinding to a separate worker pool with an adjustable thread count.
  • Status Bars: Shows TPS, MSPT and RAM use in boss bars that each player can turn on or off.
  • Status Dashboard: Opens an in-game dashboard so you can check the server without leaving the game.
  • Packet Flood Limiter: Restricts players who send too many packets per second.
  • Runs chunk loading and saving asynchronously.
  • Lets you adjust the region merge hysteresis.
  • Warns operators and writes to the log when TPS is low or RAM use is high.
  • Keeps all settings in one file, sea.yml, which is created on first start and has a comment for each option.
  • Works with only some older plugins. Plugins that change the world structure directly may have problems, because Folia runs each region on its own thread.

Commands:

  • /tpsbar: shows TPS and MSPT in a boss bar. Each player can switch it on or off.
  • /rambar: shows RAM use in a boss bar. Each player can switch it on or off.
  • /seagui: opens the in-game status dashboard.
  • /seagui reload: reloads sea.yml.

Configuration:

  • sea.yml: holds every setting, including chunk threads, mob pathfinding threads, region merge hysteresis, the packet flood limiter and the monitor warning.
