In the vanilla game, you can use blocks of minerals like iron, gold, diamond and netherite to power beacons. You can also use their ingot variants as payments to gain beacon effects. Amethyst Beacon Base Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1), as the name suggests, allows you to use amethyst blocks in your beacon base. The mod also allows you to use amethyst shards as payment to gain effects from the beacon.
