Ancient Curses Mod (1.20.1, 1.20) introduces cursed altars that generate in the world and offer high-risk, high-reward challenges. Players can accept curses, complete ritual objectives, and return through a spawned portal to claim loot from configurable tables.

  • Broken Sapphire – +10% Magical Amplification
  • Broken Topaz – +7.5% Movement and Attack Speed
  • Polished Gems (Standard tier – usable in any slot, stronger bonuses, enhanced in main slot)
  • Polished Amethyst – +4 / 8 Health
  • Polished Diamond – +2 / 4 Armor and +0.5 / 1 Armor Toughness
  • Polished Emerald – +0.5 / 1 Luck
  • Polished Ruby – +1 / 2 Attack Damage
  • Polished Sapphire – +20 / 40% Magical Amplification
  • Polished Topaz – +12.5 / 25% Movement and Attack Speed
  • Perfect Gems (Major tier – strong bonuses and unique main-slot effects)
  • Perfect Amethyst – +8 / 12 Health
    Main Effect: Lifebloom – Gradual regeneration below half health
  • Perfect Diamond – +4 / 8 Armor and +1 / 2 Armor Toughness
    Main Effect: Hardening – 20% chance to negate damage for 3 seconds
  • Perfect Emerald – +1 / 2 Luck
    Main Effect: Fortune’s Favor – Chance to double drops
  • Perfect Ruby – +2 / 4 Attack Damage
    Main Effect: Critical Fury – 25% increased attack damage after crits
  • Perfect Sapphire – +33 / 67% Magical Amplification
    Main Effect: Arcane Amplification – Randomly increases enchantment levels beyond natural cap
  • Perfect Topaz – +33 / 67% Movement and Attack Speed
    Main Effect: Frenzied Blows – Stacking speed buffs on melee hits
  • Ancient Gems (Main slot only – game-changing effects)
  • Ancient Alexandrite
    Night: Night Vision, +10% Attack Speed, bonus damage to undead, dodge chance
    Day: +25% Attack Damage, hunger regeneration in sunlight, health regeneration while stationary in sun
  • Ancient Bismuth
    Elemental Convergence – Periodic magical pulse granting Regeneration II, Strength II, or Speed II, plus elemental aura and area burst damage
  • Ancient Chrysoberyl
    +50% Movement and Attack Speed, +3 Luck
    Special Effect: Grants Creative Flight
