Bareback Horse Riding Mod (26.1, 1.20.1) – Ride Horses Without Saddles

Bareback Horse Riding Mod allows you to ride horses without equipping saddles on them. Saddles are unnecessarily hard to obtain and if you have many horses, you might  not have enough of them. In this case, you can use this mod to ride tamed horses without  having to worry about saddles. Although, it is important to note that riding a saddle will give the slowness effect to both the player and horse. This can be configured using the config file. Additionally, the config file allows you to enable a feature where the player takes damage every fifteen seconds for riding a horse without a saddle. This can be avoided by wearing leather pants, and the damage will be negated by decreasing the pant’s durability.

Features:

• By default, riding without a saddle gives both the player and horse the Slowness effect.
• You can enable periodic damage every 15 seconds in the config.
• Wearing leather pants prevents slowness and damage, but their durability decreases each time they negate the effect.
• All features are configurable and can be toggled.
• A horse must still be tamed before it can be steered.

Config Options:

• shouldReceiveSlownessDuringRidingWithoutSaddle (default = true): Apply slowness effect when riding without a saddle.
• shouldDamageDuringRidingWithoutSaddle (default = false): Damage the player when riding without a saddle.
• leatherPantsNegateEffect (default = true): Leather pants prevent slowness or damage effects.
• ticksBetweenDamage (default = 300): Time between damage ticks (1 second = 20 ticks).
• halfHeartDamageAmount (default = 2): Amount of damage dealt per interval.
• leatherPantsLoseDurabilityOnNegation (default = true): Leather pants lose durability when preventing effects.

Examples:

• Ride a horse without a saddle – may apply slowness or damage.
• Enable shouldReceiveSlownessDuringRidingWithoutSaddle to get the slowness effect.
• Enable shouldDamageDuringRidingWithoutSaddle to receive periodic damage.
• Wear leather pants to avoid negative effects at the cost of durability.
