Better Foliage Renewed Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) is a mod focused on enhancing one of the most prominent elements in Minecraft: vegetation. This mod improves all plant-related visuals, making them more realistic in every aspect. For example, tree leaves won’t be contained within a single block anymore. Instead, they will have irregular, natural shapes, creating a denser, more immersive foliage effect. The same applies to grass, making forests and meadows feel more alive.

Other changes include:

  • Cacti with irregular shapes, featuring small protruding cacti on the central stalk.
  • Lilypads generating pink flowers on top.
  • Rounded tree trunks in an octagonal shape.
  • Falling tree leaves that react to the wind.

Beyond this, in shallow water areas, reeds will naturally grow on dirt blocks, especially near rivers, lakes, and coastal regions. You’ll also find soul particles emerging from Soul Sand in the Nether, adding even more detail to the world. This mod brings Minecraft’s nature to life in a visually stunning way.
