Biomancy Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) introduces into the game a new sci-fi system that allows players to craft powerful artifacts through the conflation of flesh and bone. Granted, using flesh and bone sometimes constitutes a dark art that many would turn away at first glance as the science behind it can’t be elucidated. Players are all against the idea of insouciantly sacrifice the innocents to craft great tools due to fact that it is malevolent to perform such an act. However, to augment ones’ prowess, an individual shouldn’t let these deterrents and social norms hinder their process on becoming a biochemist.

Biomancy Mod

Features:

  • Biological resource system with new materials such as Biomass, Nutrient Slurry, Nutrient Paste, Flesh Blocks, Stomachs, and Glands, used as fuel, crafting ingredients, and to power organic machines.
  • Biological machinery like the Chewer, Digester, and Decomposer to grind, dissolve, and process biomass into useful resources.
  • Special items and reagents used for crafting, buffs, and various biological mechanics.
  • New mobs that drop important organic parts such as Stomachs and Glands.
  • Enchantments and status effects focused on biological and mutation-style gameplay (poison, regeneration, strength, etc.).

Getting Started

  • Collect basic resources by killing animals and new mobs to obtain raw meat, rotten flesh, Stomachs, and Glands.
  • Create Flesh Blocks
    • Use a cauldron to combine ingredients such as raw meat, bone meal, rotten flesh, and healing potions.
    • The process can also spawn a Flesh Blob; kill it to obtain Flesh Blocks.
  • Set up your first processing chain
    • Craft a Digester and a Chewer.
    • Use the Chewer to turn Biomass into Crushed Biomass.
    • Feed Crushed Biomass into the Digester to produce Nutrient Slurry.
    • Attach a Gland to the Digester to produce Nutrient Paste.
  • Use the products
    • Nutrient Slurry works as biofuel to power Biomancy machines.
    • Nutrient Paste is a solid fuel and a crafting ingredient.

Important Blocks and Machines

  • Chewer
    • Grinds organic materials into Crushed Biomass.
    • Improves efficiency when used before sending materials into a Digester.
  • Digester
    • Converts Biomass or Crushed Biomass into Nutrient Slurry.
    • Can use Glands to create Nutrient Paste.
    • Forms the core of your organic processing chain.
  • Decomposer
    • Breaks down other organic items and blocks into useful byproducts.

Key Items and Reagents

  • Flesh Block – a core resource used for crafting and progression, created via cauldron recipes or dropped by Flesh Blobs.
  • Stomachs – dropped by animals and some mobs, used as important crafting components.
  • Glands – dropped by specific mobs, required to produce Nutrient Paste and certain biological items.
  • Reagents – special components used in advanced crafting, enchantment-like mechanics, and biological upgrades.

Mobs and Combat

  • New biological mobs such as Flesh Blobs appear in the world.
  • They drop unique organic materials (Stomachs, Glands, etc.) needed for Biomancy progression.
  • Some mobs can inflict new status effects like infections or mutations.

Enchantments and Status Effects

  • Biological-themed enchantments that enhance combat, survivability, or interaction with organic systems.
  • New status effects that can buff or debuff players and mobs (for example, disease, regeneration, or power boosts).
  • These effects often interact with Reagents and Biomancy items to create specialized builds.

Tips and Automation

  • Automate your processing chain by connecting a Chewer to a Digester and using external mods (pipes, tanks) to move Nutrient Slurry and items.
  • Farm mobs or animal pens to maintain a steady supply of raw meat, Stomachs, and Glands.
  • Start small with a few Flesh Blocks and one basic Chewer + Digester setup, then expand into a full biological factory.
