Flint’N’Powder Mod (1.20.1) is a mod that introduces primitive firearms, unique enemies, and a more tactical combat style. The weapons follow a progression that fits naturally with vanilla gameplay, but they require manual reloading and proper handling to use effectively.

Features:

  • Firearms must be manually loaded before firing.

Basic Reloading Process

  • Use a Ramrod to compact the load if required.
  • Fire the weapon.

    • Ignite the weapon using Flint and Steel in the offhand.
    • Cannot be fired underwater.
  • Flint-and-Hole
    • Strike the weapon with Flint in the offhand until it fires.
  • Endlock Weapons
    • Have unique reload systems.

Modern Firearms

  • The mod also includes more advanced weapons with simpler reload systems.

Firearm Enchantments

  • Quality Propellant
    • Increases muzzle velocity and damage per level.
    • Only available for single-projectile firearms.
  • Birdshot
    • Increases pellet count by 33% per level.
    • Only available for multi-projectile firearms.
  • Ghost Loading
    • Increases magazine capacity by 25% per level.
    • Only available for endlock weapons.
  • Trigger Finger
    • Reduces firing cooldown by 25% per level.
    • Improves flintlock priming and endlock cycling speed.
  • Swift Reload
    • Speeds up all reload actions such as:
      • Pouring gunpowder
      • Loading bullets

  • Ramrod Mastery
    • Increases ramrod usage speed.
    • Only available for muzzle-loading firearms.

New Mobs

  • Cultist
    • Basic ranged enemy armed with primitive firearms.
    • Spawns in squads of 3–4.
    • Found in:
      • Dripstone Caves
      • Lush Caves
    • Also participates in village raids.
  • Veteran Cultist
    • Lightly armored long-range marksman.
    • Usually spawns in pairs.
    • Common in:
      • Crimson Forest
      • Deep Dark
    • Prefers attacking from long distance.
  • Berserk Cultist
    • Heavy melee enemy with a large bayonet.
    • High health but does not use firearms.
    • Often charges the player during raids.

Utility Items

  • Repair Kit
    • Used to repair firearms from this mod.
    • Hold the weapon in one hand and the repair kit in the other.
  • Book Of Thousand Guns
    • Provides instructions for different weapon mechanisms.
    • Crafted with simple materials.
