Forager’s Insight Mod (1.20.1) is an addon for Farmer’s Delight that expands Minecraft’s farming and nature systems. It introduces a complete foraging experience with new crops, trees, tools, foods, effects, and progression mechanics designed to reward exploration and interaction with nature.

Features:

Foraging System
- Players can explore biomes to gather wild crops, plants, and natural materials.
- Many vanilla plants gain new uses through farming or harvesting interactions.
- Wild crops can often be harvested using tools such as a Knife or Shears.
Experience Rewards
- Players receive XP from many farming and nature-related activities.
- Examples include:
  - Harvesting mature crops
  - Foraging wild plants with a Knife
  - Shearing animals or collecting honey
  - Using a bucket on a full Tapper
Advancement Tree
- The mod includes its own progression system with unique advancements.
- Advancements are unlocked by interacting with plants, tools, and natural mechanics.
- Examples include:
  - Spring Cleaning
  - Brush It Off
  - Giving Tree
  - Tap That
  - Stop… Hammer Time

New Crops and Plants

Flower Crops
- Several vanilla flowers become farmable crops.
- Breaking them with a Knife drops seeds or roots used for cultivation.
- Examples:
  - Rose Bush → produces Rose Hips and Rose Petals
  - Poppy → produces Poppy Seeds and Red Dye
  - Dandelion → produces Dandelion Roots and Yellow Dye
New Flower Crops
- Roselle – a new crop that naturally generates in Savannah biomes.
- Produces Roselle Calyx and Roselle Petals.

Tree Crops (Bountiful Trees)

Special tree variants that produce harvestable resources.
Grow these trees by planting their saplings on Rich Soil.
Examples:
- Bountiful Oak → produces Apples
- Bountiful Dark Oak → produces Black Acorns
- Bountiful Spruce → produces Spruce Tips
- Bountiful Birch
  - Contains Sappy Birch Logs.
  - Players can attach a Tapper to collect Birch Sap.

Conditional Crops

Some plants become crops only under specific conditions.
Lilac
- When planted on Rich Soil, it can grow into a Lilac Tree.
- Produces Lilac Blossoms that can be harvested from hanging leaves.

New Tools and Interactions

Tapper
- Placed on special logs to harvest materials such as Birch Sap.
Mallet
- Used to crush blocks or crops into processed materials.
- Examples:
  - Gravel → Flint
  - Wheat → Wheat Flour
  - Cocoa Beans → Cocoa Powder
Handbasket
- A portable container designed for collecting natural drops.
- Supported items are automatically stored in the basket.
Flint Shears
- An early-game version of shears.
- Allows special harvesting interactions called Snipping.
Diffuser
- A block that spreads scents using aromatic ingredients.
- Each scent applies a unique effect in an area.
- Examples:
  - Rosey → Regeneration
  - Floral → Bloom
  - Coniferous → Resistance
  - Foul → Odorous

Status Effects

Bloom
- Increases XP gained by 20%.
- Reduces XP cost for enchanting and anvil usage.
Medicinal
- Grants immunity to Poison and Wither.
- Removes these effects and heals the player when applied.
Odorous
- Causes nearby mobs to avoid the player.

Enchantments

Farmhand
- Automatically places harvested items directly into the player’s inventory.
- Replants harvested crops automatically.
Concussive
- Combat enchantment for Mallets and Shovels.
- Stuns enemies and increases critical damage.

Foods and Drinks

Introduces new dishes using underused vanilla ingredients such as:
- Cocoa Beans
- Kelp
- Beetroot
- Rabbit
Tonics
- Special drinks that apply the Medicinal effect.
- Each tonic provides an additional bonus effect.
Auspicious Stew
- A special stew that grants beneficial effects only.
- Effects depend on the ingredients used.
