Froglins Mod (1.21.11, 1.19.2) – Hunters of the Night

Froglins Mod (1.21.11, 1.19.2) adds a new mob to the game – the Froglin, which lives in swamps. It is an aggressive mob that hides underwater and comes to the surface to hunt passive mobs. It can attack the player, but if its health gets low, it will try to run away. When a Froglin is killed, it drops its eye, which can be used to craft a potion that removes negative effects such as nausea, poison, hunger, and blindness. A Froglin egg can also drop; it can be “planted” underwater, and after some time, at night, a Froglin will hatch from it.

Features:

• Aggressive humanoid frog mobs that live in swamps and wet biomes
• Hide underwater and emerge mainly at night to hunt
• Attack passive animals such as sheep, pigs, and fish
• Can attack players
• May retreat and flee when their health is low
• Dig underwater lairs in suitable blocks
• Natural spawning based on biome rules, with different spawn weights for swamps and rivers

• Block Tags
  • froglins:diggable
    • Defines which blocks Froglins can dig to create underwater lairs
    • Defaults include dirt, sand, gravel, and clay
• Entity Type Tags
  • froglins:edible_animals
  • froglins:edible_fish
    • Control which mobs Froglins are allowed to hunt and eat
    • Replacing these tags with empty ones will prevent attacks on non-player animals
• Mob Effect Tags
  • froglins:healthiness_tonic_curable_effects
    • Defines which negative effects can be cured by Healthiness Tonics
• Biome Spawning Rules
  • Controlled by biome tags and Forge biome modifiers
  • Can be fully overridden using datapacks
