GriefLogger Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Fast Player Activity Logger

GriefLogger Mod is a fast and lightweight mod that helps server owners and moderators track player activity in the world. It records interactions in real time and stores them safely in a database without affecting server performance.

Features:

• Logs block breaking and placing events
• Tracks entity kills and interactions
• Records item actions such as picking up, dropping, using, and consuming
• Monitors container activity (adding and removing items)
• Uses a SQLite database by default, with optional MySQL support
• Runs all database operations asynchronously to avoid server lag
• Provides inspection and lookup commands for easy investigation
• Supports advanced filters such as player, time, radius, and action type

How data is stored

• Uses a SQLite database by default (stored in the config directory)
• Can be connected to a MySQL database for better performance on large servers
• All database operations are asynchronous, so they do not slow down the server

Commands:

• /grieflogger inspect
  • Toggle inspection mode on or off
• /grieflogger lookup <filters>
  • Search logged interactions using filters
• /grieflogger page <number>
  • View a specific page of results

Available filters

• Action – action:place_block,break_block
  • Show only specific actions
• Include – include:sand,dirt
  • Show interactions involving only selected blocks
• Exclude – exclude:sand
  • Hide interactions involving selected blocks
• Radius – radius:100
  • Show interactions within a certain distance from the player
• Time – time:1d
  • Show interactions from a recent time period
• User – user:PlayerName
  • Show actions performed by a specific player

Note: include and exclude filters cannot be used together.

How inspection works

• Blocks
  • Right-click: view interactions of nearby blocks
  • Left-click: view interactions of the selected block
• Containers
  • Right-click: view item transfers (add/remove items)
  • Left-click: view when the container was placed or broken

Background

GriefLogger is inspired by the CoreProtect plugin and builds upon similar ideas while focusing on speed and modern modded servers.
