With Happy Trails Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1), moving over certain blocks (for example, grass paths) will grant a speed boost. The modification also adds a special command that allows you to configure speed for blocks directly in-game.

To set the speed, stand on the desired block and enter the following command in chat: /happytrails setHappyTrailSpeed <value>

Value options:

  • -11 – slow
  • 0 – normal speed
  • 11 – fast

Features:

  • Move faster on blocks like:
    • Grass Path: Speed +22
    • Stone Brick Roads: Speed +33
  • Get slowed down on blocks like:
    • Sand: Speed -11
    • Tall Grass: Speed -30
  • Use in-game commands to assign speed modifiers from -99 (very slow) to +99 (super fast).
  • Speed changes use either potion effects or direct attribute modifiers, and they stack with gear and other mods.
  • Works with horses and other modded mounts based on LivingEntity.

In-Game Commands:

  • /happytrails setHappyTrailsSpeed – Set speed for the block you’re standing on.
  • /happytrails info – View current block speed settings.
  • /happytrails particlesOn [true/false] – Toggle visual effects.
  • /happytrails debugLevel [0/1/2] – Adjust debug output.
