Hominid Mod fills your world with ancient, long-gone human monsters. It replaces generic mobs in certain biomes with unique undead variants that match their surroundings. These new enemies bring different behaviors and combat styles to the game. You face fresh threats depending on where you travel, making survival harder and more unpredictable.

Hominid Mod

Features:

  • Biome-Specific Enemies: New monsters spawn in specific areas to match the local environment instead of basic zombies.
  • Unique Drops: Defeating these ancient humans rewards you with special items like gasoline tanks and new music discs.
  • Applies custom status effects like Honeyed, Paranoia, and Endurance during combat.
  • Includes a built-in resource pack that repaints vanilla undead mobs to match the new color palette.

New Mobs:

  • The Mellified is a passive mob covered in honey that splatters healing liquid on nearby targets when hit.
  • The Incendiary carries a gasoline tank and catches fire to chase you at high speeds with burning attacks.
  • The Famished instantly eats any animal it sees and turns normal horses into undead variants.
  • The Juggernaut wears sturdy armor that deflects arrows and punches with heavy knockback.
  • The Fossilized throws rock slabs like frisbees and leaves behind a special armor trim when brushed.
  • The Vampire stalks players from a distance and only attacks targets that have already taken damage.
  • The Bellman rings a loud bell to summon three random zombies or skeletons to fight for it.

Custom Items:

  • Gasoline Tanks drop from Incendiaries and act as a reusable fuel source for your furnaces.
  • The Hematoma Music Disc drops when you trick a Vampire into killing a Creeper.
  • The Remains Armor Trim gives your gear a skeletal look and comes from brushing Fossilized mobs.
  • The Famished Stomach stops hunger drain, letting you eat rotten flesh safely without penalties.

How to Play:

  1. Hit a Mellified mob to get the Honeyed effect, which heals you and removes bad status effects.
  2. Run away from Incendiary mobs when they catch fire, as their hits deal heavy damage and burn you.
  3. Drop meat or lead animals away from the Famished to stop them from eating everything in sight.
  4. Let a Vampire kill a Creeper to get the special Hematoma Music Disc.
  5. Turn on the built-in resource pack in your settings to make vanilla zombies match the new mob colors.
