Krampus Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a powerful horror stalker entity to Minecraft that appears randomly and hunts players across the world.

Features:

  • Adds the Krampus horror entity with stalking and chase behavior
  • Designed for tense survival gameplay

General Behavior

  • Krampus stalks players with warning signs before appearing
  • You may notice unusual snow effects or distant sounds
  • Often disappears when directly watched, or becomes aggressive
  • Can ambush distracted players and capture them in his bag

Movement and Abilities

  • Freezes nearby water and lava surfaces to walk across them
  • Cannot climb, but uses wind gusts to push players down from high places
  • May disguise himself as a chicken to approach unnoticed
  • Can hide inside his bag and jump out if disturbed
  • Creates extremely cold air while chasing, slowing escaping players

Chase Rules

  • Can become aggressive when seen or triggered
  • Chases for a limited time, then disappears
  • Players with very low health are at higher risk if caught
  • May pull captured players through a portal and remove them from danger zones

Sound Settings

  • Music and scare sounds use the Jukebox/Note Block volume setting
  • Lower that sound slider if effects are too loud

Config Options

  • Config file is in the config folder of your game directory
  • Can be edited with a text editor or via the Configured mod
  • Main options include:
    • Minimum and maximum spawn time (seconds)
    • Spawn chance
    • Minimum and maximum chase time (minutes)
    • Maximum spawn distance (blocks)
    • Block regeneration after damage (true/false)
    • Disable first-day spawn (true/false)
    • Enable or disable chase music
