New In Town Data Pack (1.21.10, 1.20.1) is a multi-stage, story-driven, settler’s experience Data Pack for Minecraft. You are tasked with founding, building up, and defending a modular settlement from the forces of the Nether, then taking the fight to them as you construct your own Nether Fortress! It is partially inspired by the long-discontinued Tale of Kingdoms mod and seeks to recreate and expand on the town-building gameplay it popularized. Enjoy playing this data pack!

  • Natural progression system that complements normal Minecraft gameplay.
  • Fully modular town, fortress, and city building – choose what, where, and when to build.
  • Hours of side content including quests, random events, and research tasks.
  • Over 100 unique structures across three dimensions.
  • Progressively challenging Nether invasions.
  • Random natural landmarks such as floating islands and ancient drills.
  • Economy system with taxes, resources, and villager interactions.
  • Advancements offering both story progression and gameplay goals.

Uninstallation:

  • Before removing the pack, run /function nitk:uninstall to clear excess entities.
  • Structures and villagers will remain but other features will stop functioning.
  • This process must be repeated in all areas and dimensions containing New in Town features, as they are not forceloaded.
