Ophidiophobia Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a wide variety of snakes to Minecraft, each with different behaviors, habitats, and danger levels. Many are venomous and aggressive, turning exploration of jungles, deserts, and swamps into a higher-risk experience.

    • Hatched snakes do not despawn

    • Entries unlock when you approach a species within 12 blocks

    • Slow on land, very fast in water
    • Uses constriction attack
    • Regenerates after defeating prey
  • European Adder
    • Biomes: Forests, Plains, Taiga
    • Very small and usually calm
    • Attacks only when disturbed
    • Applies poison (~8s)
    • Venom collectible with glass bottle
  • Eyelash Viper
    • Biomes: Jungles
    • Small, multiple color variants
    • Neutral unless provoked
    • Applies strong poison and short blindness
    • Venom collectible
  • Rattlesnake
    • Biomes: Badlands, Deserts, Savannas
    • Medium size
    • Gives a warning sound when close
    • Attacks with poison if ignored
    • Venom collectible
  • Green Tree Snake
    • Biomes: Jungles, Forests
    • Hides in trees and leaves
    • Drops down if player is within 12 blocks

    • Large and fast
    • Threat display at ~12–15 blocks
    • Can spit venom when aggressive

    • Medium, very fast
    • Highest venom strength in the mod
    • Threat display at ~14–16 blocks

    • No egg drops
    • Does not drown or burn in sunlight
