Revoted Wildfire Mod (1.21.1) adds the Wildfire (also known as Mob D / Hovering Inferno from the 2017 mob vote) and reworks Nether Fortresses with larger structures, special events, and new fire-themed crafting content.

Features:

Nether Fortress Changes

  • Nether Fortresses generate much larger
  • Castle sections can contain Blaze spawners
  • Spawner platforms are marked with Caged Fire blocks
  • Terrain around fortresses is carved out for better structure shape
  • Support legs no longer block bridge paths
  • More loot chests appear throughout the structure
  • Chests can contain:
    • Ominous Bottle
    • Fireproof Upgrade Smithing Template

Frenzy Spawners & Frenzy Event

  • New blocks called Frenzy Spawners appear in fortresses
  • Normally inactive
  • Activate only during a Frenzy
  • During Frenzy they periodically spawn fortress mobs in groups
  • Some Blaze spawners are replaced with always-active Frenzy Spawners (Blaze-only)

How Frenzy Starts

  • If a player with Bad Omen enters a Nether Fortress:
    • Effect converts to Frenzy Omen
    • Triggers a Fortress Frenzy event

The Wildfire

  • Spawns from Blaze/Frenzy spawners during Frenzy
  • Spawn count scales with Frenzy Omen level
  • Always tracks player position
  • Protected by multiple shields:
    • No damage taken until shields are broken
    • Breaking a shield calls nearby reinforcements
  • Attack abilities:
    • Rapid fireball barrages
    • Area shockwave attacks
  • Has a chance to drop Wildfire Fragment

Wildfire Fragment Uses

  • Caged Fire Block
    • Craft with 3 Wildfire Fragments → 12 Caged Fire
    • Decorative light source
  • Inferno Banner Pattern
    • Craft with Paper + Wildfire Fragment
    • Banner pattern based on Wildfire shield design
  • Wildfire Firework Star
    • Add fragment to a Firework Star recipe
    • Explosion shape matches Wildfire helmet
  • Fireproof Upgrades
    • Combine item + fragment in Smithing Table
    • Requires Fireproof Upgrade Smithing Template
    • Makes item immune to fire and lava damage

Heart of the Inferno & Crucible

  • 9 Wildfire Fragments → craft Heart of the Inferno
  • Used to craft the Crucible
  • Crucible works similar to a conduit:
    • Requires fire lit underneath
    • Requires a cube frame of Nether Fortress blocks
    • Attacks nearby hostile mobs
    • Grants Crucible Power to nearby players

Crucible Power Effects

  • Fire immunity
  • Can swim in lava safely
  • Better visibility in lava
  • Faster block breaking while in lava
