SCP 008 Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a new deadly effect from the SCP universe called SCP-008, also known as Zombie Plague. This is a dangerous virus found in underground containment chambers, stored inside a metal canister. When the canister is opened, it releases infectious gas that slowly turns nearby entities into zombies. The infection gets worse over time and can only be stopped by SCP-500 or milk. Wearing a Hazmat Suit is the only way to prevent getting infected when near the gas.

Features:

  • SCP-008 canister spawns in underground containment chambers
  • Metal canister block that can be opened or closed
  • Right-click the canister to open it and release infectious gas
  • Right-click again to close the canister and stop the gas
  • Opening the canister releases a visible cloud of gas
  • Gas infects any entity within 3 blocks that isn’t wearing a Hazmat Suit
  • Hazmat Suit completely prevents infection from the gas
  • Infection starts harmless with only slowness and weakness effects
  • Removes certain effects from infected entities
  • Over time, infection gets much worse
  • Later stages cause red vision, higher slowness, sweating, nausea, and damage
  • Infection stage increases quickly once started
  • Nothing can stop the infection except SCP-500 or drinking milk
  • Infected entities slowly turn into zombies
