SCP 303 Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a new monster from the SCP universe called SCP-303, also known as The Doorman. This is an invisible humanoid creature that appears when you close doors. Though you can’t see it, you’ll know it’s there by the deep growling sounds coming from the other side of the door. Once spawned, it prevents you from opening the door out of sheer fear. Only the bravest players may dare to open the door, but those who do will regret it as SCP-303 will attack viciously.

Features:

SCP-303 has a 5% chance to spawn when you close a door
Only spawns when difficulty is not Peaceful
Only spawns when you’re in Survival or Adventure mode
Only one SCP-303 can exist in the world at a time
Completely invisible but makes deep growling sounds
Getting within 4 blocks shows the message “You’re too afraid to open the door”
Being close gives you extreme slowness, weakness, and mining fatigue effects
Opening a door with SCP-303 behind it triggers a loud scary sound and short blindness
Opening the door makes SCP-303 become aggressive and attack
While active, causes fear that gives nausea, weakness, slowness, and mining fatigue to players within 6 blocks
Moves very quickly when chasing you
Deals heavy damage when attacking
Has relatively low health, so you can kill it if you’re brave enough
Despawns if no player is within 16 blocks
Will spawn again the next time you close a door
