SCP-427 Lovecraftian Locket Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a powerful healing artifact with escalating benefits and a dangerous time limit. It helps the player at first, but extended use leads to a hostile mutation event.

Features:

• Adds the item SCP-427 (Lovecraftian Locket)
• Provides strong healing and buff effects while opened
• Risk increases the longer it stays open
• Only one instance exists in the world

Basic Usage

• Right-click to open the locket
• Sneak + right-click to place it on the ground in closed form
• Effects apply while the locket is open and carried

Effect Timeline (While Open)

• Immediately:
  • Grants regeneration
• After ~30 seconds:
  • Removes harmful effects such as poison and similar debuffs
• After ~90 seconds:
  • Grants night vision
  • Grants saturation
• After ~3 minutes:
  • Grants strength, speed, haste, and dolphin’s grace

Overuse Risk

• After extended open time:
  • A mutation warning message appears
• Shortly after the warning:
  • The user is transformed into SCP-427-1
  • A hostile creature spawns from the transformation
• Safe use requires closing the locket before the limit

SCP-427-1 (Mutation Creature)

• Very high health and damage
• High resistance and movement speed
• Immune to projectile attacks
• Can break blocks when aggressive
• Takes increased damage from fire
