SCP-513 The Cowbell Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) – Don’t Ring The Bell

SCP-513 The Cowbell Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) adds a cursed bell item inspired by the SCP universe. Ringing it applies a special curse and causes a mysterious figure to begin appearing around the player.

Features:

• Main Object
  • A rusted cowbell that can spawn naturally in the overworld
  • Can be picked up and carried
  • Only one instance exists in the world
• How To Use
  • Sneak + Right Click → pick up or place the bell
  • Right Click without sneaking → ring the bell
  • Using the bell from inventory will also ring it
• Curse Effect
  • Ringing applies Curse of the Bell to nearby players
  • While cursed, a tall gray figure (SCP-513-1) starts appearing at a distance
  • The figure watches and then vanishes, reappearing elsewhere later
  • Presence is hinted by heavy breathing sounds
  • The curse becomes stronger over time
• Danger Condition
  • The entity can damage the player during sleep
  • There is no normal cure once cursed
• Containment
  • The bell can be trapped inside a Gel Block
  • Contained bell will no longer spread its effect
