Slipstream Mod boosts FPS on macOS by cutting the work it takes to get each frame onto your screen. It skips the normal frame presentation path and sends frames straight through the macOS compositor. In common cases, the mod can triple your FPS or more.
Features:
- Direct Frame Display: Bypasses the normal frame presentation path and shows frames directly through the macOS compositor.
- OpenGL and Vulkan: Works with OpenGL and with Minecraft’s Vulkan renderer.
- Improves FPS when frame presentation is the bottleneck. Gains depend on your hardware, renderer, and modpack.
- Lets the Metal Performance HUD apply to Minecraft when the environment variable
MTL_HUD_ENABLEDis set. - Runs on the client side only.
