Small Stairs Updated Mod (1.21.5, 1.20.1) adds a collection of new stair variants into the game. Unlike the vanilla stairs that are three-fourth of a block, these new stairs are three-ninth of a block. This allows for a much smoother staircase climbing experience compared to the vanilla stairs.
