Sulfar Mod (1.19.4, 1.18.2) introduces a new Nether ingredient into your world. It is called Sulfar. In the same way that coal may be burned and turned into torches in the Overworld, Sulfar can serve the same purpose in the Nether. Sulfar, on the other hand, is superior than torches; although one coal piece can only melt eight objects when used as a fuel, one sulfar can melt up to ten items. If you compare this to the fact that you can only construct four torches with coal, you can see that Sulfar gives you one more option. Maybe you agree with me that sulfar is a superior ingredient than coal and that it can be substituted for coal in all of the things that you do. However, this presents a significant challenge for new players because the resources in question are unique to the Nether and can thus only be obtained there. Sulfar, on the other hand, is a reward for those who are bold enough and self-assured enough to believe that they would prevail over the Nether.
