Nametags are useful for a variety of purposes. Not only do they help you identify mobs, but they also prevent mobs from despawning. Basically, you can name a mob using a nametag and mob will not despawn. In the vanilla game, nametags appear overhead the mob with a white text enclosed in a translucent black background. This looks decent, but it could be better. Transparent Nametags Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) is here to make nametags look better by removing the translucent background. This means, only the white text will appear floating overhead mobs.

Features:

  • Makes nametags look a lot cleaner and minimalistic.
  • Removed the black background enclosing the nametag text.
  • Only the white text will be visible above mobs.
