Tree Hollows Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) makes the early game more interesting when you don’t have any good items yet. Now, in forests, you can find tree hollows on some trees – small openings that hide various items. Sometimes you’ll only find sticks, but occasionally there might be iron or gold (though only in small quantities). It’s a great option for the start of the game if you enjoy exploring – now you can simply search for trees with hollows. Each hollow has a 3×3 inventory, and the chance of a hollow spawning on a tree is 5%, which is quite high and allows you to find plenty of useful stuff in the forest.

Features:

  • Adds “tree hollows” to trees, which are simple 3 by 3 inventories. Additionally, tree hollows added during world generation will contain loot. Default loot table includes sticks, feathers, mushrooms or eggs with a small chance for different seeds, gold nuggets and raw ores, enchanted equipment, books and emeralds.
  • Tree hollows drop sticks if broken without Silk Touch and can be renamed in Anvil like any vanilla container. You can find them in Natural Blocks creative tab.
  • Currently adds tree hollows to all 6 vanilla trees.
