Simply right click on a villager with a bucket to pick them up. You can carry them around in your inventory and place them wherever you want. The level of detail that the developer has paid attention to while designing the villager buckets can be noticed as well. The texture of the villager bucket depends on the actual appearance of the villager picked up.
