Spawner based farms are one of the basic early game farms built by the players. They can be found generating naturally in several vanilla structures. The most common way to find a spawner is to look out for Monster Rooms, that you may across while mining in the overworld. The monster spawner inside has a 50% chance of producing zombies, a 25% chance of producing skeletons, or a 25% chance of producing spiders. Combining these spawners with a kill system makes an excellent way to automatically farm items like bones. Spawners in monster rooms need a player within a 16 block radius around it to get activated. Unfortunately, these spawners usually do not generate next to one another. If there was a way to bring a lot of spawners close together, that would make it very easy to farm multiple items from multiple mobs. The solution to this problem is Zaynen’s Craftable Mob Spawner Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) that adds a crafting recipe that allows you to craft and place spawners wherever you want. The spawner has two recipes. The information regarding that is given in the next section. The spawner alone will not allow for the summoning of mobs. You need a mob spawn egg to make the spawner work. For this to work in survival, you will have to rely on other mods that allow you to craft spawn eggs in survival.
