Simple Barrels Mod adds simple-to-craft barrels to Minecraft for storing large amounts of a single item. Each barrel can hold up to 4096 blocks or items, making it a great way to organize your resources. The mod also works with hoppers and other systems for easy automation.

Features:

  • Store up to 4096 of a single item or block in one barrel.
  • Craft barrels using different types of vanilla wood, such as oak and spruce, to match your builds.
  • Also supports planks from the Forestry mod in its recipes.
  • Works with Hoppers and any mod that uses the Forge Capabilities system.
  • Add optional upgrades to see what’s inside or display the item count on the side of the barrel.

How to Use:

  1. Craft a basic barrel using wood, iron, and a chest. You can leave out the Item Frame and Comparator for now.
  2. To see the item inside the barrel, craft an Item Frame upgrade by placing an Item Frame with four sticks around it.
  3. To display the item count, create a Comparator upgrade by surrounding a Comparator with four sticks.
  4. Apply an upgrade by holding it and shift-clicking on the barrel you want to upgrade.

Wood can be of any vanilla type. oak will make oak barrel, spruce will make spruce. etc.

You can now craft this without the item frame or comparator.  The item Frame lets you see whats inside the barrel, the comparator allows the count to be displayed on the side of the barrel.  Later on you can add these items to the barrel with the upgrades, just put 4 sticks around the item frame or comparator to get the upgrade and then shift click the barrel with the item.

Vanilla Barrels: These are the vanilla wood Barrels. They use vanilla wood for their texture.
