Spartan Shields 9minecraft Mod expands the single vanilla shield into a massive armory of new defensive options. It adds dozens of new standard and tower shields made from different materials so your defense can grow stronger as you gather better ores. You start with basic wood and work your way up to diamond, netherite, and even modded metals.

Features:

  • Tower Shields: Adds large, heavy shields that offer huge protection but take a moment longer to raise.
  • Banner Decoration: Lets you apply banners to tower shields to show off your custom colors and patterns in battle.
  • Shield Bashing: Gives you the ability to strike enemies with your shield to push them back and deal damage.
  • Includes standard shields for every vanilla material tier, from wood and stone up to diamond and netherite.
  • Supports popular modded metals like bronze, steel, silver, and lead.
  • Shows the maximum protection stats directly in the item tooltip so you can compare gear easily.

Special Shields:

  • The Silver Gilded Shield hurts undead mobs like zombies and skeletons when they hit your block.
  • The Bulky Obsidian Shield slows your movement speed but provides massive durability against heavy hits.

Custom Enchantments:

  • Spikes reflects a portion of damage back at any mob that hits your shield.
  • Firebrand sets your target on fire when you hit them with a shield bash.
  • Payback stores the damage you block to make your next shield bash much stronger.

How to Use:

  1. Craft a Crude Wooden Shield or a Wooden Tower Shield at a crafting table to get started.
  2. Place your undamaged wooden shield in a crafting grid with better materials like stone or iron to upgrade it.
  3. Keep upgrading your shield tier by tier as you mine better ores like diamond and netherite.
  4. To decorate a Tower Shield, place it in a crafting grid with any patterned banner.
  5. Use the shield bash attack in combat to shove enemies away and deal extra damage.
