Balanced Epic Fight Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) – Fight Off Mob Hordes

Balanced Epic Fight Mod reworks unfair combat mechanics in Epic Fight. It stops mobs from endless attack loops and cuts down your stamina cost during group fights. Tough monsters like Endermen stay aggressive, while weaker crowds give you a fair chance to fight back.

Features:

• Mob Attack Cooldowns: Stops enemies from doing infinite attack combos by adding a 2.0-second base wait time after their final basic strike.
• Crowd Stamina Scaling: Drops your stamina cost for all actions when mobs surround you by dividing base stamina by the nearby mob count.
• Adds 0.4 seconds to a mob’s attack cooldown for each extra enemy around you, starting from the second mob up to a 5.0-second limit.
• Subtracts 0.01 seconds from the attack cooldown for every 1 point of a mob’s max health so strong enemies like Endermen and Iron Golems attack faster.
• Caps stamina reduction at 20% of the original action cost to stop infinite skill spam against big herds.

Configuration:

Balanced Epic Fight Mod lets you adjust its combat formulas through two JSON files:

Stamina_cost.json:

• algorithm: Sets the math mode to either "inverse" (divides base stamina by mob count) or "linear" (subtracts a flat percentage per extra mob).
• reductionPerMob: Sets the percentage of stamina saved per extra mob when using the linear mode (such as 0.15 for 15%).
• maxMobCount: Limits the highest number of nearby mobs counted in the stamina formula.
• excludedMobs: Lists mob IDs (such as ["minecraft:enderman"]) to ignore during the stamina check.

Attack_cooldown.json:

• baseCooldownTicks: Sets the starting wait time in ticks after a mob finishes its basic attack.
• maxCooldownTicks: Caps the longest possible attack cooldown in ticks.
• tickIncreasePerMob: Sets how many ticks get added to the cooldown for each nearby mob.
• tickDecreasePerHealth: Sets how many ticks get removed from the cooldown for every 1 point of max health.
• excludedMobs: Lists mob IDs to ignore when counting nearby enemies.
